Attention HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS!  We will NOT be having regular youth group THIS Sunday.  INSTEAD:  After church, we will be hanging out at the LIFE House, eating lunch and playing Throw-Ton together!  It's going to be a fun time!

Remember: Lunch & Throw-Ton after church THIS Sunday.  No regular YG (meaning, we will not be there Sunday night)!

Church Cleaning.

Hey guys, we'll be cleaning the church at 9:00am tomorrow!  There will be Jake's Bagels bagels and cream cheese (which, may I say, might just be one of the best bagels you've ever had [if you come and have one]).  We could sure use the help (cleaning, not eating [I'll gladly eat them all])!  See you at 9:00!

CANCELLED: Thrift Store Formal

ATTENTION: I am sorry to announce that, due to many more complications, we have had to make the decision to cancel the Thrift Store Formal.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.  We are saddened that it has come to this, but seeing as this is the 3rd time issues have risen, we are going to put this event on the shelf until further notice.  It WILL happen eventually, just not now.

I know this has been frustrating for some, but please know that it has not been easy for us leaders to work around many schedules, an unforeseen record-breaking winter for snowfalls, and the coordination between 3 groups.  As it turns out, more than half of the CYCM students will be out of town on spring break this weekend, and we decided that it is just not fair to them to go through with it and have them miss out.  How would you feel?

So, once winter is over, spring breaks are over, spring plays, and so on, we will begin to talk about when we can plan this event for so that everyone who wants to come can come.  Please do not be mad or frustrated as this is not a FUN call for us to make.

IN IT'S PLACE, THIS SATURDAY NIGHT, we will be having another movie night at the LIFE House.  There will be snacks and things of that nature, good friends, and good movie options.  Please join us at the LIFE House at 6:30pm this Saturday night.

Summer Missions!

Thrift Store Formal (POSTPONED [again])!

So, as some of you are now aware, the winter weather decided to make its potential presence known once again on the weekend of the Thrift Store Formal.  Since many different weather reports say many different things about what tomorrow night will be like, we just cannot be sure what to expect.  Thus, yet again because of the weather, we have decided it is best to push the dance back one more time.  I know this is not everyone's favorite decision, but please understand, again, that YOUR safety is very important to us.  Since we cannot guarantee that the roads will be safe tomorrow night, this is the plan.

So... Instead of driving 25+ miles to the dance, we will be having a movie night at the LIFE House.  This is much less driving, less of a risk, and if the weather causes you to not be able to make it, you aren't missing such a big event as the Formal.  So, at 6:00pm tomorrow, at the LIFE House, we will be having a movie night.  Bring your pillows and whatever else.  There. Will. Be. Snacks.

Thrift Store Formal

Incase you missed it:  The Thrift Store Formal is tomorrow night!  We'll be meeting at the LIFE House at 4:45pm (leaving by 5:00pm) and we'll be back at the LIFE House by 9:45 or 10:00pm.  If you need to be home earlier than that, you are welcome to drive separately or get picked up from CYC in Morris a bit early.  Don't forget your thrift store outfit!  See you all there!

THRIFT STORE FORMAL: RESCHEDULED! Attention, please help spread the word that, unfortunately, due to the potential weather, we are rescheduling tonight's event. We are unsure how the country roads will be with the snow and wind and we (Pete, Nick, and I) have agreed it is not worth risking lives on potentially dangerous roads. That being said, the Thrift Store Formal is rescheduled for Saturday, March 1st! We apologize for any inconvenience this causes and we hope you all understand! Again, your safety is VERY important to us!

Hey all, just a reminder that we don't have youth group tonight for the Super Bowl. There are plenty of good, fun Super Bowl parties out there. Have fun, see you all next week!

It looks fine now, but from what I've been seeing, it's supposed to get pretty bad. Especially if a lot of schools are already canceling. Our main goal is for you all to be safe!  So, enjoy the night with your families, stay warm, and be safe!
